Anyone interested in changing the limit of how many draft picks in the FYPD and MLFAD you can trade?  The current rule is 7 per draft but some good reasons were brought up in season that if you cant' participate in the draft you can't get value for your picks.

List you suggestions for increasing pick trading limits below.

Though it might be considered extreme by some, I'd be for no limits when trading picks.

However, if there is a limit put forth or the same limit stays, I think when a transaction involves picks on both sides, it should be counted as a wash. For example, if I trade 3 picks for Indiana's 2 picks, I have used up only one traded pick.

I'm on board with Honolulu on both things he said. He may have also bought my vote with that picture from the other thread.

I'm in favor of removing all restrictions on the number of picks allowed to be traded. After the first year everyone has got a stable of prospects to work with. The only downside I can see I came across in another league I just joined. There were no limits on pick trading so there is one team with not a single minor leaguer while others have a ton. I can't see that becoming a problem here though so I'm all for unlimited trading of picks.

Another idea might be to put a limit on the number of picks allowed per team per draft. The number of trades can be unlimited but we just would need to make sure we are under a certain number of picks in every draft.

Buying your vote is so hot.

Let's do it again, and this time, I'm upping the ante...

I like this idea a lot. That way, at least there is a minimum amount of talent being put on the team.

All things being equal, I prefer the existing rule (limit of 7) as I think that a strategy to ignore the minors could be a winning one with the lack of a limit.

I would also prefer less soft porn on the site as I have issues with it but I am guessing that I am in the minority there.

As in you would rather have hard porn?

I'm kidding. I'll ease back for you brotha.

Though, in some aspects, I could pass blame to Josh as being such a savvy instigator...

Coming from the angle of "taking over a REALLY bad system" in a few other leagues, I found it very beneficial to be able to trade for a quantity of draft picks. It is rare that anyone gets a "hit" on much past round 10 or so, as it is. I dont see it as much of a risk for a team to trade away picks that they cant use anyways. I would be on board with upping the 7 number. And I love any kind of porn as long as a bit of fair warning is given in the title, to those with children or checking at work. :)
