With free agent declarations and draft pending:
1. The Contract year and Salary on my Team Roster page is that for upcoming 2019 or last year (2018 season) and all of my y2y.1 through y2y.5 players are due salary increases?
2. Remaining Salary on my Team Roster page ($3 million) has to cover y2y increases and any new MLB (Active/Reserve) signings for 2019??
3. Have IF Addison Russell (y2y.5) who is suspended for 28 more games at start of 2019 season, what are my options for him?? Can I waive/release him and get his salary taken off team books?
4. In general if I release/waive player with active contract do I recover his salary?
5. It appears my team has more than 3 players on "option" contracts?  Am I reading the Team Roster page correctly and what are my options to correct a possible violation?
6. I will want to promote RP Jose Castillo (SD) for upcoming 2019 season from my Minors roster...should I do it now or wait to after MLB Draft?  Is there a salary issue?  How do I list him when I post my team Free Agent  declarations?

Last but not least, reading rules it appears we set the roster only once a week on Monday?  No daily changes?

Sorry for all the questions but maybe it will help the other Newbies also!!!

1. The Contract year and Salary on my Team Roster page is that for upcoming 2019 or last year (2018 season) and all of my y2y.1 through y2y.5 players are due salary increases? All your contracts are updated to 2019
2. Remaining Salary on my Team Roster page ($3 million) has to cover y2y increases and any new MLB (Active/Reserve) signings for 2019??  You can save salary by cutting any of your y2y players by 2/15.  Also you have a 13M team option on Freddie Freeman and a 10.7M team option to decide.  You also have one forced callup, Jose Castillo who will be a y2y.1 unless you cut him by then 15th.
3. Have IF Addison Russell (y2y.5) who is suspended for 28 more games at start of 2019 season, what are my options for him?? Can I waive/release him and get his salary taken off team books? The suspension is not a consideration.  All y2y players can be cut before 2/15.
4. In general if I release/waive player with active contract do I recover his salary? Only if he is a y2y player.  You are stuck with players who are on multi year guaranteed salaries.
5. It appears my team has more than 3 players on "option" contracts?  Am I reading the Team Roster page correctly and what are my options to correct a possible violation? Perhaps those players were traded for and you acquired their options.  Nate, please verify.
6. I will want to promote RP Jose Castillo (SD) for upcoming 2019 season from my Minors roster...should I do it now or wait to after MLB Draft?  Is there a salary issue?  How do I list him when I post my team Free Agent  declarations? You actually must either promote or cut Castillo as he is above the 50 IP/130 AB rookie threshold.  I updated his salary to $300k y2y.1 and promoted him to your 40 man roster.  All y2y.1 and y2y.2 players can be optioned to the minors at any time without penalty but the salary still counts.

Last but not least, reading rules it appears we set the roster only once a week on Monday?  No daily changes? Correct.  Changes must be in 10 minutes before the first game starts on Mondays.

Sorry for all the questions but maybe it will help the other Newbies also!!!

Hope that helps

Norm....TY....that clears up what I believe was foggy after mulling over the rules.  This is first time I have ever played in a league with salaries, options, contracts, minors...also first Fantrax baseball league (other one does not use salary).
Will now be able to post my Free agent Declarations in the next day or two!

Thanks again!
