I've read through the rules again but I'm still a bit unclear on a couple things, and want to make sure I'm understanding everything.  There's one mention of things that need to be done before Opening Day that has me a bit confused.

Am I free to move players with y2y2 or less between the 40 man and the minors through the year or does that freeze after Opening Day?   And can I put the y2y3 and above on waivers with the intention of moving them to the minors throughout the season as well or only before opening day?

Goal 1 for SBF is to have an eligible roster for this year, and as I watch injuries and guys like Dustin Fowler getting sent down it's clear that I need to bring up guys like McKinney and I don't want to miss any deadlines.

May I move guys between the roster and minors on my own, or do I post everything and let the administrators make the moves?

Thanks,
Drew

During the season you can move y2y1 and y2y2 up and down from your 40 man to the minors.  You can do this on Fantrax.  We ask that you post these moves in the promotion and demotion forums just so we have record.  Especially promotions if you're promoting a minor league player so we can ensure to add their contract.  When you promote a minor league player that has a minors contract it becomes a y2y1 @ 300K.

As for waivers.....y2y3 and up (including signed MLB contracts) can be placed on waivers at any time.  If they clear they can be moved to your minors.  If they are claimed you loose the player.  You cannot pull them back, so it's a risk.  If a player is claimed the commissioner team will move the player from your team to the team that claimed the player.
