Commissioners Office / Login on PC not working
Last post by Dutch Miracle - April 11, 2023, 03:58:10 PM
Hey! Somehow each time I press the login button on the website when trying to enter via PC it a pop-up shows up and says "error" and nothing more.

I have accessed only via mobile ever since the upgrade of the forum but wanted to use the "search" function via PC and work with my own sheets on there for the MILB drafts. But somehow can't.

I guess it is only affecting me. I use Edge and Firefox, happens the same on both.
On the mobile it is Safari.

Commissioners Office / Re: 2023 Schedule
Last post by Columbus Wild - March 26, 2023, 07:37:30 PM
Active roster size has been reduced to 40 (25 active and 15 reserves).

If you are over please either demote some y2y1 or y2y2 players or waive a player(s) to get at or under the max.  If you don't your roster will be illegal and you won't incur points.

Also, opening day is Thursday March 30th.  Please be sure to set your lineups.  Also the first week is from 3/30 through April 9th.

Commissioners Office / Waiver Rule Adjustment
Last post by Columbus Wild - March 22, 2023, 09:19:24 AM
We are looking to add some roster flexibility to the waiver rules.  Currently when you waive a player, if they are not claimed the player goes to paid minors.  This can cause an issue with the minors player limit.

We are going to add two more options to waivers to allow for some additional roster flexibility (like MLB teams have).

Below will be the options you have when waiving a player.

1) Player will go to paid minors and can be called up again.

2) Player can be released (dropped from roster) and the team will continue to pay the players remaining salary.  If a player has a contract of $2.0M per season through 2025, then a cap hit will be applied to your Fantrax roster for that player for $2.0M through 2025.  The player will become a free agent and can be bid on by other teams.

3) Player can be released (dropped from roster) and the team can buyout the rest of the contract in the current year.  Same example as above, a GM can choose to pay the remaining $6.0 of the players contract in the current year and will not have any cap hits moving forward.  The team must have cap space available to do this.  The player would again become a free agent once dropped and can be bid on by other teams.

In the event of a y2y contract, since these are yearly contracts, if a y2y player is dropped you will only be charged a cap hit for the current year.  Example:  A player is on a y2y4 contract and is being paid $1.2M, you only be charged the cap hit of $1.2M in the current year.

The decision to go to paid minors or choosing one of the release options can be made after the player clears waivers.  You can  make it when you post the player to waivers but you will have 24 hours after the player clears to select an option or the player will default to paid minors.

This option keeps the guaranteed contracts in place as each team is still responsible for the full contract but it will allow for increased roster flexibility moving forward.

Let us know if you have any questions.

Thanks!

Commissioners Office / Re: Players not in fantrax
Last post by Columbus Wild - March 17, 2023, 08:03:13 PM
We have made a lot of progress on this list.  The remaining players that still need to be added to Fantrax rosters are bolded.  The players that have been added to rosters have been crossed out.

Please do us a favor and double check that your rosters have the correct players.  I will leave the added players up until the start of 2023 MLFAD.

Quick reference:

Alaskan Wolves = Destin Barracudas
Jax Pratts = Vancouver Rainhawks

Please reply if you see any mistakes.

Thanks!

Commissioners Office / Re: 2023 MLFAD New Start Date ...
Last post by Columbus Wild - March 16, 2023, 08:15:37 AM
We have not heard any objections to a 4/10 start date, so we will now plan to start 2023 MLFAD on Monday April 10th.  I will update the schedule and start to create the threads this week.

Jax is a good GM. It is too bad he left.

But I'm happy Al is here. I know him from another league and he is a great guy.

Welcome Al!

Commissioners Office / New GM in PTB
Last post by Columbus Wild - March 15, 2023, 01:17:23 PM
I wanted to let everyone know that Jax Pratts decided to resign from PTB earlier this week.  We are lucky that we have a new GM already to fill the team.

Please welcome Al to the league.  He is signed up and is preparing to get started.

Welcome Al!  It's great to have you join us!
