I wanted to get this topic going. Let's start discussing any proposed rule changes now so we have it ironed out before the start of 2013 season. If there is a rule you'd like to discuss create a thread on it. If it's met with great enough support, we'll create a poll thread to vote on it. The rule I know that we want to discuss is the trading of FYPD and MLFAD pick limit. We have it at 7 right now for each draft. That seemed a bit low to some who were out of town or not prepared for a draft at which point they felt they couldn't get proper value from their picks.
We will list the rules being discussed (and/or changed) below for record keeping.
Rules Being Discussed:
1. Trading of FYPD and MLFAD Picks (Current rule set at 7 per draft). - Thread Created.
I would like to open a discussion about removing the 15-day DL. Seems redundant as it serves no effective purpose in terms of our rosters. Or augment it to actually open a roster spot if a player is placed on the 15-day DL.

I thought we only allowed DL assignments for 60 day DL. Am I missing some verbiage in the rules somewhere that I need to cleanup?
I was just referring to the mention of the 15-Day DL is all. I was just thinking either allowing a roster spot to open by placing an eligible player on DL, or just removing the mention of it entirely from the constitution.
Its a small thing that I only mentioned to spark activity. I was going to post a picture of a hot chick to be used as the spark... wait, I still can...
Just out of curiosity, what is the process we follow on rule discussions and changes? Is it debate with a vote? If so, do we need pass it with a certain number of people?
Thanks!
If there is enough interest in a certain topic then we will setup a poll.
On the 15 day DL, explain to me again what you are asking? We don't use the 15 day DL on the forum. I don't think we can remove the informative icon from the CBS site if that is what you're talking about.
So far we will likely put the pick trading to a vote because it seems the league is pretty divided on this, there was enough confusion last year that Jim and I wanted to bring it up.
I don't want this league to become like the NFL where we create and change new rules every year but I do think we need an avenue to address real issues.
Sounds good. Thanks for that info Nate.
I was just wondering, what usually does the 15-day DL (for fantasy purposes) mean for our league mechanism? Does it offer too much roster movement if we have a functional one?
I'd always wondered why we don't allow a roster spot for a 15-day DL eligible player.
Remember, I know everything, I just can't remember it all at once...

Sorry, I just now saw this. I think it does allow to much roster movement to open roster spaces for 15 day DL spots. It's why we don't have a spot for it in the league rules. Honestly, I just think it would be to hard to manage. CBS will always list a player on the 15 day and that should most likely be used as a hint not to start someone in that week.
Kew, I just was curious as to the rational. Thanks!

MLB has a 15 day DL, but they only have 25 players on their major league roster and need to put a guy on DL to clear a spot to call up another player on their 40 man roster.
We already have 40 men available to us to fill out our 25 starters. I guess I think of our 15 bench players as our DL spots. Hope that makes sense
