Title: Waivers/Promotions/Minors Contracts
Post by: Columbus Wild on March 28, 2012, 07:34:24 AM
Just a friendly reminder (especially to those unfamiliar with this format), that all your demotions (waivers) and promotions need to be posted on the message board.   This will allow the commissioner team process the transactions properly (waivers claims, contracts, etc..).

Also remember, if you promote someone from the minors to the your 40 man you are adding their prospect contract of 300K.  If they pass the rookie threshold during the season that you called them up the players will be a y2y2 (600K) the following year.

Please don't hesitate to ask questions on this stuff as it can get confusing at times.

Regular season has started!  Good luck everyone and enjoy!

Just a quick thought about waiver timing. Any thought to extending the 24 hour rule during the offseasons? Say bump it up to 48 hours?

Why?

Well during the offseason, at least until FA starts, activity on the board will likely be very low. It doesn't matter either way to me just thought it may be something to think about

So, I don't see the need for an extended window cause of a lack of activity. You snooze you lose.
